Principe Corsini

The Corsini family, with a history spanning nine centuries, is an ancient Florentine family with illustrious ancestors, including a pope, Clement XII, and a saint, Andrea Corsini, Bishop of Fiesole.

Around Villa Le Corti, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, the estate extends over around 250 hectares dedicated to woodland, olive groves, and vineyards, of which 49 hectares are planted with vines.

The meeting between Prince Duccio Corsini and oenologist Carlo Ferrini in July 1992 marked a true “revolution” in the traditional management of the estate. This gave rise to the winegrowing activity that is now the flagship of Fattoria Le Corti.

Around one fifth of the entire estate is devoted to viticulture: 49 hectares located at an altitude of 250 to 320 metres above sea level. Most of the vineyards are planted with Sangiovese; smaller quantities of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Canaiolo, and Colorino are also grown.

The soil, climate, and altitude allow the hills of Le Corti to produce pleasant wines with beautiful structure, in which finesse takes centre stage. This is reflected in the many awards the estate has received, both nationally and internationally.
